Stecom Sas have recently started with automotive as having been committed for the project management of 5 robot cells control. The cells are fitted with Panasonic TAWERS welding robots and revolving positioners. The cell control is performed by Siemens PL7 PLC’s with data exchange through a Profibus DP net.

The cells will be installed in the Clients factory for the assembling and welding of car parts. The job is including extended and complete tests in oder to deliver fully functional units.

Mt Ianuk – CSI Cargo Monitoring system

In January 2011 Mt Ianuk called at Genoa for planned repairs and drydock. The 16 Tank Cargo Monitoring was supplied by Stecom Sas in the year 2000 and installed by a shipyard at Shanghai. During the recent short stay of the ship, the system was checked in order to problem assessment. A minor quantity of pressure and temperature detectors were replaced. The CSI Control Systems BV made Bridge and CCR PC’s were sent back to factory for checks. The PC repairs and software refurbishment were carried out succesfully and with no surprises. What it was surprising was the total cost of the operation amounting @ €.1600/=
